Guatemala: Novotecni to Oversee Reconstruction Works

The company will be responsible for overseeing the infrastructure which make up the Plan for Reconstruction.

Novotecni will be responsible for oversight of design, reconstruction of roads, building bridges and dredging of rivers by companies contracted by the Ministry of Communications, Infrastructure and Housing.

The methodology used is the contractor submitting the project to the Ministry, this entity together with Novotecni analyzes it, and they will either approve or disapprove the construction, based on parameters from the "Blue Book" (building regulations applied in Guatemala) and international guidelines.

Nicaragua Invites Bids for Supervising Infrastructure Works

The Road Maintenance Fund invited bids for supervising road and highway works.

The contractor must supervise road repairs and maintenance works in 455.55km of road infrastructure, split in several stretches, which vary in length and duration, from one to three months.

Interested companies must submit their bids on July 21.

Tender for Public Works Inspections Moves Forward

The Panamanian Ministry of Public Works has recommended that eight contracts be awarded to various different consultants for inspection work, for a total of $14.6 million.


The evaluation committee’s recommendations include the companies Consorcio LCC, Prointec, Applus Norcontrol, Técnicas y Proyectos, Inconsa, Cemosa and the consortium Eurostudios-FG Guardia..

Guatemala: Northern Highway Awards Supervision Contracts

6 companies will supervise the construction of the Transverse Northern Highway (known as FTN, "Franja Transversal del Norte", in Spanish).

Four of them are from Guatemala: "Consultora en Proyectos de Ingeniería y Sistemas"; "Aquaingeniería, S.A."; "Tecnología y Normas, S.A.," and "Oficina de Ingeniería Raúl Meza Duarte".
