Guatemala Negotiates $50 Million for Agriculture

Faced with a reduction in crops, the Agriculture Ministry is negotiating a loan with BCIE.

$11 Million For Panamanian Agriculture

November 2009

Spain will provide funds for increasing basic grain production in Panama.

The money will be used to boost rice, beans and corn production.

Victor Pérez, agricultural development minister, told "The Food and Agriculture Organization will install its Central American offices in Panama. This means they will store in Panama all the seeds that will be distributed in Central America".

$26 Million for Basic Grains in Honduras

The resources will be invested according to the National Basic Grains Plan, which seeks to assure inventory and price stability.

$211 million to reactivate agriculture in Honduras
