In July, the monthly variation of the CPI was 1.51%, mainly due to the behavior of prices for food and health services.

The most important inflation levels of July 2017 are as follows: an inter-monthly variation of 1.51%, a year-on-year change of 5.22% and a cumulative variation of 4.11%.  Click to interact with graphicsClick to interact with graphics

The monthly variation recorded in July 2017 is the highest in the months in the period July 2010-2016 and is 0.97 higher than the average of 0.54 in the aforementioned period.

Of the twelve spending divisions that make up the CPI, food (4.12%), and health (0.24%), account for the level of inflation reached in July 2017 (1.51%). Transport (-0.74%), recreation (-0.45%), are the divisions that showed the highest drop in their price level.

After reaching its highest level in June this year with 5.6%, the price index reported a variation of 5.1% in September with respect to the same month in 2017.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased 0.50 percent (0.32% in September 2017), mainly explained by the behavior of the prices in some goods and services of the divisions of Recreation and culture (6.79%); Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel (1.73%) and Transportation (1.15%); which together contributed 0.496 percentage points to the observed variation.

Following the country's inflationary rhythm oscillating between 3.8% and 4.7% in the first six months of the year, in June the price indicator registered a variation of 2.6%.

The most important inflation levels in July 2018 are the following: monthly inflation of 0.36%, inflation rate of 2.61% and cumulative inflation of 1.08%.

In the first sixth months of the year, the CPI recorded a monthly variation of 0.57%, mainly explained by the behavior prices of Food and Health products.

The most important inflation levels in June 2018 are the following: monthly inflation of 0.57%, inflation rhythm of 3.79% and cumulative inflation of 0.72%.

In June, the monthly variation was 0.86%, mainly explained by the behavior of prices of food, alcoholic beverages and transportation.
