Grupo Roble's Mall Progresses Despite Crisis

The new phase of Multiplaza Escazú in Costa Rica has already rented 90% of the available retail space.

The fifth phase of the Multiplaza Escazú shopping mall will be open to the public in November 2009, boasting 100 new stores. This mall was built and developed by Grupo Roble, the real estate division of Salvadoran conglomerate Grupo Poma.

Salvador Bolaños, Manager at Grupo Roble, was quoted by Nacion.com: "We are getting ready to deliver the stores to our tenants by the end of this month, for them to start restyling and equipment works as soon as possible".

Construction has started in Santa Ana of a building measuring 16 thousand square meters which will make up the second stage of Metrocentro, which will be ready in March 2017.

The second stage of the mall by Grupo Roble will have 75 new stores, distributed in 10,200 of the 16,000 total square meters comprising the new area. The works started on June 29 and will be developed over the next 15 months.

Panama: 109 Additional Stores in Multiplaza Mall

The third phase of Multiplaza Pacific Mall will open formally on 6 December with all the new commercial spaces having already been sold.

With the changes made in this third stage of development, the mall now has a profitable area of about 100 thousand square meters.

Panamaamerica.com.pa reports that "Just in time for the traditional shopping on Mothers Day, on Thursday December 6 Grupo Roble will formally inaugurated the third phase of Multiplaza Pacific Mall, which will house approximately 109 new stores featuring international brands, informed the the mall’s commercial and marketing manager, Jaravy Rosales, who added: "the third stage is fully commercialized, and shops that were already in the mall will move into this new phase"

New Shopping Center Opens in Guatemala

Next May 17, the new Eskala Roosevelt shopping center from Eskala Group will open in Mixco.

The shopping center of more than four blocks required an investment of $35 million and it will house (already confirmed) Híper Paiz supermarket, McDonald's, Pollo Campero, G&T Continental Bank and Industrial Bank.

New Grupo Roble Shopping Mall in Panama

Metromall, the new commercial complex being built in the Domingo Día avenue and Vía Tocumen, will open for customers around December 2009.

It expects to receive between 40 to 50 thousand daily visits once opened, stated delegates from Grupo Roble in Panama. This company is headed by the Poma family from El Salvador, and they are together in this project with Panamanian companies Inversiones Bahía and Proyectos Modernos.
