Greater Results from Participation in Fairs

Nicaraguan agricultural companies involved in the PMA fair in Atlanta, USA, managed to sign purchase intention contracts for 2012 totaling more than $7 million.

Taking part in the event held in Atlanta, Georgia, between the 14th and the 17th October, were the companies Distribuidora El Carmen, Tecnoagro, Proexport, Agroesnica, Asociación Pueblos en Acción Comunitaria (Peoples Community Action Association), and Cooplari Fruvex.

According to an article in Laprensa.com.ni, "A delegation of businessmen attended the event, the product of an alliance between the Export and Investment Center (CEI) and the United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Enterprise and Employment program.

"For us these events are important not only for the immediate results ... but also for the international contacts that are made", said Danilo Cruz-De Paula, director of Enterprise and Employment.".
