Funeral Business Grows

Costa Rican funeral companies invest in more locations, growing in size and number of private cemeteries.

The increase in population, with a consequent increase in deaths and changes in consumption patterns moving people to contract early funeral services and burial places, has meant growth for the funeral business sector, which has made significant investments in facilities.

The strength of the business is highlighted in an article by El "According to the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) over the last decade there was a marked increase in registration of deaths."

The plans offered to the public range from early coverage and funeral services in monthly payments, to the sale of plots for burial in private cemeteries also in installments of around $ 60 a month.
