Frontier to Begin Flights to Liberia, Costa Rica

The airline has announced it will initiate flights to Daniel Oduber International Airport in February 2011.

In a press release the carrier indicated that its first flight of the year will be on 13 February and the last on 21 August with one per week.

Daniel Shurz, Republic Airways Holdings Inc's vice-president for strategy and planning, "did not explain why this route will only be for five months initially," according to Nacion.com.

Jetblue Announces New Direct Flight Boston - Costa Rica

Starting November, the airline will add a new direct flight from Boston, in the United States, to Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

As part of the expansion of its services in Latin America, the low-cost airline will begin operating a new flight from 1 November from the U.S. city of Boston to Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport in Liberia, Costa Rica.

The low cost Canadian airline Westjet has requested permission to fly from October 2012 two weekly flights between Daniel Oduber Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport.

Westjet is already flying charter flights between the two airports, and has now presented to the Civil Aviation Technical Council (Cetac) of Costa Rica "a request to fly from Toronto to Daniel Oduber Airport on a fixed schedule from 29 October."
