Central American Furniture Fair Begins

From today until 8 August, ExpoMueble 2010 will be held in Grand Tikal Futura Hotel in Guatemala.

ExpoMueble 2010 is an event organized by the Furniture and Forest Products Manufacturers committee of Agexport, the Guatemalan Exporters’ Association. It hopes to attract 20,000 people, 15% more than last year.

The event's coordinator, Ingrid Gaitán, told Sigloxxi.com, "there will be furniture for living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, offices or for outdoors as well as decorative items, doors, closets and bars".

Guatemala: Trade Fair for the Furniture Industry

June 2016

From July 5 to 10 furniture producers and exporters will be exhibiting their products in the ExpoMueble 2016 event and meeting with department store chains in the region.

Guatemalan producers of furniture and entertainment centers, chairs, kitchens, bedroom furnishings, and living room tables, will be able to exhibit their products to representatives of department stores such as Siman, Electra, La Curacao and Sears, among others.

AGEXPORT Unveils Trade Show Calendar

The Association of Guatemalan Exporters (AGEXPORT) plans to participate in 17 international events and to stage 5 fairs in the country.

In Guatemala, the association will organize the following fairs: Apparel Sourcing Show, Manufexport, New World Crafts and Expomueble.

“In 2011, they will organize Agritrade, which is staged every two years. This event is intended for agricultural products”, reported Sigloxxi.com.

Guatemala Prepares Food Fairs

From August 24 – 26, the XIII edition of the Food Fair and the VII Restaurant Congress will be held in Tikal Futura Hotel.

The XIV Food Festival will be held jointly. Among the three events, the organizers hope to produce business for $18 million (Q150 million).

According what Sigloxxi.com published: "The member of the organizing committee and chairman of the Business of Restaurants in Guatemala (GREGUA), Peter Meng, indicated that this activity is looking for entrepreneurs from the food and restaurants industries to become more competitive so that they can offer greater services to the region and the rest of the world."

Manufexport Completes Deals Worth $4 Million

The organizers expect next year's business deals to be worth $50 million.

The 50 participating exhibitors and 57 international buyers held 962 business meetings.

The coordinator of the Guatemalan Exporters’ Association (AGEXPORT), Marco Tulio Recinos, told Sigloxxi.com that, "the event was a success" and added that, "markets were more diversified with 44% of buyers from the US but also representatives from the Dominican Republic and Mexico".
