Epa Hardware Stores to Open New Shop in Costa Rica

The Venezuelan hardware store chain will invest $9.5 million in opening its fourth store in the country, located in Colima de Tibás.

According to information gathered by local newspaper El Financiero, "Ferreterías Epa" will build the store and a distribution center in a 34.088 square meter lot.

"7.437 square meters will be used for commercial space, whilst the distribution center will occupy 5.614 square meters. It will feature parking space for 343 vehicles", reported Elfinancierocr.com.

The chain Multispa is to open two new offices in the Costa Rican capital in the coming months.

The two new fitness centers will open in areas of Tibás Llorente and Guachipelín, and will replace the current ones in San Jose and Escazu-Trejos Montealegre.

David Mears, president of the company, said the group is investing about $4 million in each of the sites which measure about 2,200 square meters.

The 270 square meter store will be located in Oakland Mall and will create 30 jobs.

Costa Rican Company ‘Super Baterias’ Expands in Region

Olama Cespedes, owner of the company, said the expansion plans include opening five other branches in Panama during 2012. The company is also analyzing entry into the Nicaraguan market.
