The plant will initially employ 30 people, and will manufacture guiding wires for medical appliances, which combines technological specialization with the company’s expertise in nitinol.

Jeff Lenigan, NDC’s vice president of operations, commented that “NDC’s growth is guided by our manufacturing and R&D operations. We hope to successfully conduct both at our Costa Rican plant”.

NDC to Invest Further $4 billion in Costa Rica

The medical device company Nitinol Devices & Components has announced it will expand its payroll and install a new plant.

NDC, which has been in the country for a year, plans to expand its payroll from 25 to 100 workers and build a second plant measuring 1,600 square meters in Coyol Alajuela.
