Emerson Increases Costa Rican Operations

The company announced it will increase its operations in the country by investing $2,3 million in a new facility at Multipark, Escazú.

In the country’s promotion campaign in New York, the company informed they will increase their Costa Rican payroll by 150 employees.

“Emerson Electric Limitada established its engineering center in 2007, which was officially inaugurated in August 2008. A year later, the company decided to launch an international services operation in Costa Rica, providing finance, accounting, accounts receivable, treasury and billing services for Emerson’s operations in Latin America and the U.S.” reported Elfinancierocr.com.

Emerson installs software plant in Costa Rica

The American company, Emerson, inaugurated its first plant in Latin America, where it will produce computer programs and electronic components.

The company will employ some 200 professionals in different areas. Among the reasons why the company choose Costa Rica as its headquarters in Latin America, Phill Hunt, Director of the new plant, listed the economic stability and policy of the country, availability of human resources who speak English, and its strategic location.

Amway Opens Service Center in Costa Rica

The direct sales company invested $2 million to open a service center.

The first shared service center for the Americas will provide financial and accounting services for the region and in its first two years of operation will generate 160 direct jobs.

"This is the company's first venture into the shared services market and with near-shoring outsourcing", reported newspaper La Prensa Libre.

IBM Announces Service Center in Costa Rica

IBM's operation in Costa Rica currently provides services in human resource processes, management of customer relations, finance, accounting and shared services to IBM customers in North and South of the USA.

Roche Pharmaceuticals has announced an investment of $5 million to expand its service and distribution center, from where it serves 23 countries in the region where it operates.

Heredia, Costa Rica. -12 August 2015 The pharmaceutical company La Roche today inaugurated its new service and distribution center in the country, which will optimize its operations serving 23 countries in Central America and the Caribbean. Thanks to the investment of $5.5 million, the company will also expand its storage capacity for biotechnology products and implement cutting-edge technologies in the building, committing to the highest environmental and energy saving standards in the world.
