El Salvador's Lactosa Enlarges Market
The company expects to widen the market for its dairy products next year, by exporting to Mexico and the Caribbean.

Vilma de Calderón, CEO of Lactosa, indicates that the company currently produces for the domestic market and exports to Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, where it has subsidiaries.
The FOB value of exports from Central America during the fourth quarter of 2011 reached $6.483 billion, up $997.8 million (18.2%) compared to the same quarter in 2010.
The FOB value of exports from the region between January and June 2013 totaled $15.532 billion, down 3% compared to the same period last year.
The Cooperative of Milk Producers of Dos Pinos has started dairy exports to Venezuela, the tenth market in which it will place its products.
From their plant in El Salvador, the company will begin exporting to the U.S. and Puerto Rico in 2011.
