"If we call to bid in June, the tender process should take about a year, due to all the requirements and processes Cepa must meet and carry out as a public entity," Altschul said.
Canadian company SNC-Lavalin presented their proposal for expanding the airport.
CEPA has announced that its master plan for the renovation and modernization of the El Salvador International Airport will be ready in November.
Civil Aviation Authorities believe the public private partnership format would be the best method to use for the airport’s management.
With an investment of $17.8 million, the Autonomous Executive Port Commission will improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the El Salvador International Airport in Comalapa.
