El Salvador Puts Out to Tender 2011 Medicines Supply
The Ministry of Health will bid the purchase of medicines for hospitals and health centers for 2011.

The Government of El Salvador, represented by the Ministry of Health, is inviting companies to bid for the following contract: supply of medicines in List No . II-A, joint purchase for national hospitals and health facilities for first attendance level on the network formed by the Ministry of Health and FOSALUD, GOES FUNDS AND FOSALUD, at DDP prices delivered at locations established in Annex No. 1.
Four tenders for the procurement of medicines have been canceled in Guatemala, on the grounds that they were approved by the outgoing government a few days before the change of command.
The country is to implement a so-called "reverse auctions" and price catalogs, with which they intend to save $12 million a year.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in El Salvador is inviting bids for the supply of pharmaceuticals and veterinary medicine.
The Social Security Institute is putting out to tender the purchase of 7.4 million 30 mg tablets or capsules of lansoprazole.
