El Salvador Hosts Tourism Supplies Fair

The first Regional Touristic Suppliers fair will take place from May 31 to June 1.

It will be hosted at the Conventions Center of Hotel Sheraton Presidente El Salvador.

The event will gather companies from Central America, Mexico, Colombia and the United States which provide goods or services for hotels, restaurants and general tourism companies.

It is organized by “Publicaciones Creativas“ from El Salvador, in coordination with the Tourism Ministry and El Salvador’s Tourism Unions.

From October 6 to 8 San Salvador will be hosting a regional tourism promotion fair, in which it is expected that 80 wholesalers from Europe, the US and South America will take part.

The eleventh edition of the event will be organized by the Ministry of Tourism of El Salvador and the Federation of Chambers of Tourism of Central America.

Guatemala is to host the seventh regional CATM tourism show.

The event will take place on 18, 19 and 20 October in Antigua Guatemala.

Central America Travel Market (CATM) brings together technical experts and professionals from the Central American tourism industry and gives people the opportunity to build commercial relationships between suppliers and wholesalers in international markets such as Europe, Asia and South America.

El Salvador will host the sixth regional tourism fair "Central America Travel Market (CATM)".

Before the event, invitees will be shown the country's touristic spots, said Napoleón Duarte, Salvadoran tourism minister.

"The fair will be inaugurated on October 9th, with an activity in the National Theater of San Salvador", added Duarte to local newspaper La Prensa Gráfica.

During the first two weeks of September, El Salvador will participate in two tourism fairs being held in Florida, United States.

The first is called the The Summit 2008, one of the fairs dedicated to tourism that has the most impact in Latin America. The second is The Trade Show which will be held from the 7th to the 9th of this month in Orlando.
