In the case of beans, figures from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) show greater variability, depending on the bean and crop variety, as some have reported better results. However, bean productivity has deteriorated in recent harvests.  Laprensagrafica.com reports that "... performance went from 15.1 hundredweight per hectare on average in the 2014/15 season, to 13.1 in the 2015/16 cycle."

The MAG statistics indicate that in the case of maize cultivation, the decline in production is more evident. "...From the 2012/2013 harvest to 2015/2016, maize production fell by 4.7 million hundredweight, according to the MAG's annual figures. That is to say, it went from 20.37 million hundredweight to 15.63 million hundredweight. During that period, the fall has been constant and coincides with the aftermath of the tropical depression 12-E and two years with long periods of drought."
