El Salvador: Union Created to Support MSMEs
The new National Entrepreneurial Union of El Salvador (Unaes, acronym in Spanish) will introduce a government purchases law that would benefit the sector.

This Union is born with the goal of providing support and strengthening the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector. The Unaes is made up by businessmen from several productive sectors of the country and by Salvadoran entrepreneurs residing in the United States, totaling over 400 members.
The new association, Aconimipyme, aims at offering advice in order to improve competitiveness of small and medium enterprises.
The initiative aims to contribute to strengthening trade and investment promotion between the two nations.
The Nicaraguan-Korean Association for Development is looking to promote investment in agribusiness and automotive areas.
Through the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), $85 million have been allocated to promote investment in northern El Salvador.
