El Salvador: Single Window for Imports

The Central Reserve Bank (BCR) enabled the One-Stop Import procedure.

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

The new service is part of the Integrated Center for Import and Export (CIEX), which now allows importers to authorize documents prior to importing.

"The creation of CIEX is part of the measures the government has taken to 'compensate' the withdrawal of the 6% benefit to exporters ... The Central Bank announced that it soon hopes to develop a single invoice for permits and services provided by various institutions represented at CIEX" says Elmundo.com.sv.
