The total amount to be tendered is approximately $113 million, which will bring enormous benefits to people as sources of direct and indirect employment, as well as strengthening the business sector, providing new infrastructure that will support development, protect life and economic activity.
Among the works that will be tendered are: 16 rural roads and highway projects, for which $ 80, 948,560 has been budgeted , 19 protection works in high risk areas which have an investment of $16,416,319, and 17 concrete bridges and civil works for steel bridges, with an estimated budget of $16,778,699, making $113,251,967 in total.
The tenders for these new projects are the result of over eight months of intense work by dozens of engineers from different specialist areas who prepared the diagnostics, soil studies, designs, plans, specifications and bidding documents for submission to enable the execution of these works.

The Central District Municipality in the capital is investing in projects to repave roads and construct new overpasses.
The announcement was made by Mayor Ricardo Alvarez who referred to the works which include renovation work on the streets of the historic center of Tegucigalpa, construction of an overpass at Hacienda-Suyapa, and expanding the Fuerzas Armadas boulevard to three lanes .
