El Salvador: Alternatives to Fly to U.S.

The low-cost carrier Spirit will offer connections to 26 U.S. cities.

Monday, June 20, 2011

Promoting flights to Southern USA will be the cornerstone of Spirit's expansion strategy in El Salvador.

The airline, which recently made its maiden flight between San Salvador and Fort Lauderdale will offer connections to 26 U.S. cities, with the possibility of flying to more cities depending on demand.

Sprit's vice president, Barry Biffle said in the article Elmundo.com.sv "... we see growth in the market (El Salvador). We recognize that there is not a large colony of Salvadorans in southern Florida, the ties are with southern California, Baltimore and New York, but we believe that these low rates can make south Florida an important hub for El Salvador".
