With an investment of more than USD 36 million, the Government of El Salvador in conjunction with Latam Hotel Corporation has laid the first stone where the Hyatt Place San Salvador hotel will be built.
The Government of El Salvador, together with Latam Hotel Corporation held an official event for the laying of the foundation stone on which the Hyatt Place San Salvador hotel will be built. This new investment is being supported by the Promotion Agency for Export and Investment of El Salvador (PROESA), the amount is more than USD 36 million and it will create approximately 300 quality jobs for the Salvadoran population.

Hotel renovations and the opening of new establishments are planned next year in Guatemala, in a market where the occupancy rate is around 60%.
Despite the fact that the occupancy rate has not exceeded 60% in the last two years, growth of the hotel market in Guatemala continues, especially in the metropolitan area.In this location, the areas of greatest demand continue to be those near the road to El Salvador, Cayalá and the sector near La Reforma Avenue.
In a partnership with Central American businessmen five Park Hyatt hotels will be built in the capitals of Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador and two in Honduras.

"Hyatt Hotels Corporation today announced that a Hyatt affiliate has signed a master development plan with LATAM hotel Corp.
Two separate hotel projects have been announced in the Honduran capital and in San Pedro Sula, with an investment of $45 million.
Fernando Paiz Andrade, president of the Latam Hotel Corporation, said that the Hyatt Place will be built in the exclusive area of paseo Los Próceres in Tegucigalpa, at a cost of $15 million.
On April 23 and 24, El Salvador will host the Second Latin American and Caribbean Meeting of Trade and Investment.
Among the topics to be discussed at the meeting organized by the Salvadoran Commission for the Promotion of Exports and Investments (PROESA and EXPORTA) are: the impacts of the global crisis on developing countries and the measures that have been taken to mitigate it; an analysis of the Latin American and Caribbean competitive situation in infrastructure and trade services and the situation of the tourism sector, including its current challenges and opportunities.
