Eight Call Centers Come to Honduras

The call centers have been authorized by the National Telecommunications Commission to operate and create 1,000 jobs.

Two of the registered call centers will be located in Tegucigalpa, and the other six will be located in San Pedro Sula. The companies are Asesores Gerenciales, Globanet, Telefonia IP, Telesis, America de Inversiones, Latincon, Axioma Empresarial and Inversiones Hada.

According to Elheraldo.hn, Liliana Sánchez, investment official for the Investment and Exporter Development Foundation of Honduras (FIDE, acronym in Spanish) said: “They will probably look to create 1,000 jobs when operations begin, in the first phase they are looking for between 300 and 400 jobs in their centers and they calculate that for each job there is a pull of three to one, meaning that it will generate many new jobs.”

New Call Center in Guatemala

May 2013

The company Teleperformance, of French origin, has announced its intention to open a call center in Guatemala.

From 2 to May 4, the company will be holding a job fair in order to assess the potential for personnel to work there.
