$6 Million for the Construction of a Sports Complex

The Panamanian Sports Institute will build a sports complex in Herrera with four training areas, on a site of almost 14 thousand square meters.

"The planned construction is a sports complex by the Panamanian Sports Institute, where it will have different spaces for sports training, including swimming, basketball, volleyball and a gymnasium.

An Olympic-size swimming pool, a synthetic soccer field, a volleyball court, and a remodeled fitness center will be built.

For the construction of the volleyball court, 128 square meters of the court area will be taken into account, apart from the other areas of bleachers and perimeter sidewalk.

The size of the pool will be 1,326 square meters, excluding the space for the perimeter sidewalk, bleachers, among others.

An announcement has been made of the construction of a sports club, social and special events centre in an area measuring 22,600 square meters west of the capital, in the county of Santa Ana.

Construction is expected to start in December and operations will begin in September 2015, with the initial opening of tennis courts, a soccer field, semi-Olympic swimming pool, cafeteria and parking areas.
