EU To Assist Guatemala Coffee Industry

The European Union will contribute $8.8 million for strengthening Guatemala’s coffee SMEs.
The announcement was made by Enzo Barattini, spokesperson for the European Union, highlighting that Europe consumes high quantities of coffee.

“It is important for the EU to assist the coffee industry, as it consumes 67 million sacks per year”, reported Sigloxxi.com. “Of the global coffee sales, between 60% and 70% go to the European Union”, reported Sigloxxi.com.
