Monday, February 21, 2011

The port now has infrastructure to receive larger ships.

Still pending is the provision of the bathymetry (depth survey of the seabed) which must be submitted to the Board of Port Administration and Economic Development of the Atlantic (Japdeva) and the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT). Both entities being the port governing bodies must enable the dock for larger vessels and locate the buoys marking the approach channel.
