"Seeding opportunities in Nicaragua" is the name of this forum, taking place today in the city of León. Participants include industrial agriculture investors from the US, Mexico and Central America.
The hospitality, security and the range of tourist attractions in the west of the country has piqued the interest of more than 20 investors from Europe, the United States and Central America who participated in the Tourism Forum called "Invest in Nicaragua: Explore New Horizons!"
The Government is emphasizing the understanding and agreement between employers, workers and officials on issues like the minimum wage.
Nicaragua already exports products worth $1,300,000 to the Asian country and is keen to promote its agriculture and tourism sectors.
Most notable are the opportunities in agriculture "because there is a lot of land" for production in sectors such as cocoa, rubber, oil palm and sugar.
