In the face of the Environmental Administrative Tribunal's decision to close its packing plant facilities for exceeding the permitted amount of a chemical in its wastewater, the Del Monte Agricultural Development Corporation, SA, indicated that it would appeal the decision.
The Administrative Environmental Court authorized Fresh Del Monte to reopen its pineapple packing plant under set conditions.
The plant is located in the canton of Oreamuno in Cartago province, with facilities for receiving, weighing, sorting, packing and shipping horticultural products.
An appeals court maintained a series of precautionary measures hampering the development of Crucitas gold mine, owned by Infinito Gold.
By means of an executive decision, the Ministry of Health has opened up a quick way of solving bureaucratic issues causing the closure of a business due to problems with the registration of their products.
