Panama: Increased Advertising

Advertising investment in the first 7 months of 2010 reached $ 247 million, 16% higher than the same period in 2009.

Television remains the biggest advertising media; even its 24.5% growth over the last year exceeds that of other media, accounting for $ 169 million the first 7 months.

Confirming global trend, the article by Raul Bernal of Prensa.com, states that "Only investment in newspapers suffered a slight drop of 1.3%, after reaching $ 40.9 million in the first seven months of the year when in 2009 the investment was $ 41.4 million dollars.”
