Financial brokering services have been increasing at a rate above six percent, and in the past three months it has accelerated to a rate of more than 11 percent.
Growth in this economic sector, which differentiated Costa Rica from other Central American countries, has lost the rhythm it held in previous years.
In Guatemala, telephony, retail sales, financial activities and services offer the best remuneration at managerial levels.
Companies from the sector are consolidating their operations in plants in order to improve production efficiency.
Companies from the United States are investigating the availability of bi-lingual personnel, which would enable the installation of customer service call centers.
