Costa Rican coffee exports increase 10.8%

According to the Coffee Institute (Icafe) exports for December were at 70,140 sacks (60 kilograms each), 10.8% more than for the same month in 2007.

Elsalvador.com reports that "accumulated exports for the period from October to December were 189,541 sacks, 16% more than for the same period in the previous cycle, he added."

Salvadoran Exports Up 5.6%

August 2013

During the first six months of 2013 foreign sales totaled $2.822 billion, $151 million more than in the same period in 2012.

From a press release issued by the Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador:

Total exports to June of this year amounted to $2822.2 million, up $150.6 million compared to the same period in 2012, the growth rate was 5.6% per year, with a gradual recovering its dynamism, informed the Office of Economic Studies and Statistics of the Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador.

Costa Rican Exports At $17 billion

January 2013

Foreign sales of goods and services in 2012 were at record levels, increasing by 8.9% compared with 2011.

A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Trade reads:

San Jose, January 21, 2013. Costa Rica exported $16.875 billion in goods and services in 2012, exceeding the target set for the period of $15.750 billion.

Accumulated Exports Grew by 8% to September

October 2011

Exports of goods grew by 7.9% in the first nine months of 2011 compared to the same period in 2010, according to the Foreign Trade Corporation of Costa Rica.

During the first three quarters of 2011 Costa Rican exports were valued at U.S. $7.641 million, while in the previous period the figure was U.S. $7.082 million.

Costa Rica's January-May exports up by 7.8 percent

June 2008

Costa Rica increased its exports by 7.8 percent between January and May of this year, with almost all productive sectors showing improvement.

Only bananas and melons failed to show an increase, the Ministry of Foreign Trade reported in a news release.
Total exports for the period were 4.175 billion dollars, an increase of about 300 million dollars from the same period in 2007.
