Costa Rica signs six deals with China
Costa Rica signed six cooperation agreements with China during a visit to San José by the Chinese deputy prime minister, Hui Liangyu.

One of the major agreements was on cooperation in the development of water resources. China also granted a donation of US$10 million and 200 police patrol cars to aid Costa Rica's fight against crime.
While Obama's visit was mainly symbolic and dealt with long-term issues, the visit by Xi Jinping focussed on specific projects such as the $400 million for the route to Limon.
Both countries seek to improve bilateral relationships with this agreement, which comprises trade and cooperation topics.
The agreement is looking to expand the FTA between the two countries, widening the relationship in the political and cooperation fields.
Florida Ice & Farm, Tilapia del Sol, Fideos Precocidos de CR, Solarium and Cadexco signed agreements for trade and cooperation.
