The CFX-1 is a submarine cable network more 14 thousand kilometers long that is located at a greater depth in the Caribbean Sea.
Costa Rica's Internet capacity is expected to increase by at least 35 percent from July when it will gain access to Global Crossing's Pacific cable connection.
A 6,000 km long submarine cable with 100 Gigabit capacity will expand digital links between Central America and the rest of the world.
With an investment of $1.1 billion it will connect to Brazil, Colombia, the United States, Guatemala, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
