Costa Rica and Chile to sign association agreement
According to the Chilean Embassy in Costa Rica, the agreement will be signed in October during Michelle Bachelete's visit to San José.

Negotiatiors for both delegations agreed on "taking the excellent bilateral relationship to the next level with the implementation of a Comprehensive Association Agreement Chile-Costa Rica (AIA)", during the bi national meeting in San José.
Chilean diplomats and businessmen proposed the alliance to export jointly to the region where more than half of the world's population lives.
The President of Chile, Michelle Bachelet, and her Honduran counterpart, Manuel Zelaya, signed three covenants regarding free trade, science and technology, and the environment.
Presidents Hu Jintao and Oscar Arias signed 11 agreements for cooperation in trade, economy, finance, energy, education and technology.
This week the program for informing business owners and other private organizations about the future of the FTA begins as a part of the preliminary stage before starting the negotiations.
