Costa Rica: The Fast Food Market in 2016

Thirteen fast food franchises will be opening 40 new stores this year, after 2015 saw the arrival of some new players and the departure of others.

A survey carried out by Nacion.com on the franchising industry revealed that about 40 new stores will generate 360 ​​jobs this year, compared to the 654 redundancies recorded in fast food restaurants segment in 2015.

Nacion.com reported that "... in the case of the firm QSRD (Popeyes and Little Caesars), they have plans to open 12 stores. Pizza Hut plans to open seven locations in which to invest $ 2.1 million. Papa John's will be investing $1.5 million in four locations. On the other hand, Taco Bell will open two stores in the greater metropolitan area and one outside it after August. "

Taco Bell Returns to Panama

Next June 15, Franquicias Panameñas will open the first Panamanian Taco Bell fast food restaurant franchise in Multiplaza Mall.

Besides the store in Multiplaza, the US franchise will open restaurants in El Dorado, Albrook, Metro and Villa Lucre shopping malls, among others.
