Costa Rica: Construction Prices - June 2017

The price indices for buildings and social interest housing up to June 2017 registered interannual variations of 5.35% and 2.22%, respectively.

From a report issued by the National Institute of Statistics and Census:
 
Price indices for construction based on February 2012 are a set of twenty statistical indicators, which measure the change in prices of materials used in the construction of different kinds of works.  They are composed of the buildings price index, the social housing price index, and a group of nineteen price indices for raw materials and special services. 
 
Buildings price index (percentage changes May 2017)  
Monthly: 0.43% (May 2017) 
Interannual: 5.35% (July 2016 to June 2017) 
 
The level of the building price index is 102,485, while in the previous month it was 101,121.  The elements that showed the greatest positive contribution to the monthly variation of June of 2017 were: grade 60 rods and windows.
 
Price index of social housing (percentage changes June 2017) 
Monthly: -0.23% (June 2017) 
Interannual: 2.22% (July 2016 to June 2017) 
 
The level of the index for prices of social interest housing is 103,452, compared to the previous month when it was 102,678. The elements that showed the greatest positive contribution to the monthly variation in June 2017 were: blocks and wooden frameworks.

The price indices of buildings and social interest housing up to April 2017 registered inter-annual variations of 5.13% and 3.70%, respectively.
