Costa Rica Negotiates with China for Sanitation Protocols
Negotiations will permit the entry of leather, beef, chicken and Costa Rican pork, starting in April, to China.

Nacion.com publishes: " Marco Vinicio Ruiz, the Minister of Foreign Trade, assured that the agreements will be finalized by the end of March and that it will be the Minister of Agriculture, Javier Flowers, who will sign them."
Chilean experts are giving support to Costa Rican authorities to prepare for the FTA that the Government plans to begin negotiating with China in less than six months.
China has an adamant stand against the entry of Costa Rican sugar to its market, in the negotiations for the Free Trade Agreement.
The Foreign Trade Promoter presented its strategy to strengthen the image of the country, business processes, to make contacts, and strengthen exports.
This was announced in the fifth negotiation round for a Free Trade Agreement between both countries.
