Costa Rica: $5 million Investment in Fast Food Restaurants

The KFC franchise has announced that it will invest $5 million this year in the opening of two new restaurants, three local self service branches and the remodeling of four existing ones.

The company plans to fully remodel the branches on Avenida 3 Calle 1 in San Jose as well as the Former Embassy, and the branches in the Ruins of Cartago, Tibás and Jacó. In addition, its representatives announced that they will be building two new branches, one in the Greater Metropolitan Area and one outside it.

Elfinancierocr.com reports that "...The three new self service branches will be in Liberia, San Antonio de Coronado and Sabanilla."

The US company Denny's has announced the opening of its first restaurant in Guatemala City, which will be operated by a company of Honduran origin called Comidas Especializadas.

The new restaurant is owned and operated by Honduras-based franchisee, Comidas Especializadas S. de R.L., led by experienced franchisee Mr. Roberto Larach, an existing Denny’s franchise partner. This newest location in Guatemala marks the 13th country in Denny’s global portfolio.

In Costa Rica, the fast-food chain Taco Bell plans to open five new restaurants in the remainder of the year, and four more in 2018, in different parts of the country.

Through a press release, the company stated that in what remains of this year it will be opening stores in the residential and commercial center Bamboo Eco Urbano complex, Walmart San Sebastián, near La Merced Park in downtown San Jose, Rohmoser Square, and in Liberia.

Guatemala: Wendy’s Invests $6.4 Million
