Health Infrastructure: $55 million Projects

In Costa Rica, contracts have been awarded for three construction and equipment projects for new branches in San Isidro de Heredia, Santa Bárbara de Heredia and Santa Cruz de Guanacaste.

From a statement issued by the Costa Rican Social Security Department:

April 17, 2018. The Board of Directors of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS) awarded, last week, three large building projects to strengthen the primary level of care for an amount of ¢31,698,074,458.14. The projects will benefit 133,049 people in populations in Heredia and Guanacaste.
The construction and equipment projects are for erecting the new area branches (where several of the area's EBAIS centres operate) in San Isidro de Heredia, Santa Bárbara de Heredia and Santa Cruz de Guanacaste.

Investment. The land has an area of 17,200 m².  The cost of the work is 8 371 696 320.00 and includes design, construction, equipment and two years of infrastructure maintenance. 
Schedule.  The Architecture and Infrastructure Directorate of the CCSS estimates that the construction phase will begin in the second half of 2018 and the works handed over at the end of 2019.
Services. General medicine (EBÁIS), nutrition, specialized medicine, pharmacy, general dentistry, social work, nursing, psychology, health education, clinical laboratory, 60 parking spaces and space for motorcycles and bicycles.
