The variation from July 2010 to June 2011 of the General Index is 5.18%, down 1.13% compared to the variation in the same period last year, which was 6.31%.

The National Institute of Statistics and Census has reported the main results of the Consumer Price Index of June 2011.

- The level of the General Consumer Price Index in June is 147.065, which represents a variation of 0.56% compared with the index for the month of May (which was 146.247).

- The cumulative variation of the first six months of the year (January to June 2011) of the General Index is 2.78% less than the variation in the same period last year (3.41%).
In June, the groups with the highest variation in prices when compared to the variation in the General Index (0.56%) are:
- Rent and housing services
- Transportation
- Miscellaneous goods and services
