Costa Rica Hosts Buyers Trade Mission (BTM)

BTM XII is organized by Costa Rica's export promotion agency, Procomer, and will take place from 6 to 10 September, 2010.

The BTM 2010 event will be held in Ramada Plaza Herradura Hotel and feature the participation of at least 250 international companies that will negotiate export deals with approximately 250 Costa Rican businesses. Negotiations will be possible through various means: scheduled meetings, at exhibition stands, in conferences and also in a showroom exhibiting state-of-the-art Costa Rican technology products.

This year's BTM will focus on Industrial Technology and include a display dedicated to high added-value products, made in Costa Rica. On of the event's aims is to encourage innovation.

$25 Million Worth of Deals Expected in Buyers Trade Mission

The BTM event, organized by Procomer, began yesterday with 270 Costa Rican exporters taking part.

Industrial, agricultural and food sector producers will be at the conference with a huge variety of products ranging from frozen cassava to robotic arms.

Álvaro Piedra, trade promotion manager for Costa Rica's export promotion agency, Procomer, told Nacion.com that, "BTM's objective this time round is to help deals to be reached worth $25 million, $5 million more than 2009's goal".

The Buyers Trade Mission (BTM) will take place from 24th to 28th September 2012 at Hotel Ramada Plaza Herradura, Costa Rica.

The event will feature at least 250 international companies who aim to strike export deals with approximately 250 Costa Rican companies through business agendas, display stands, conferences and also a showroom of high-tech industrial products produced in Costa Rica.

Costa Rica will hold on September 6 and 7 of the XIII Buyers Trade Mission with the participation of representatives of some 205 companies from 31 countries.

240 small and medium local enterprises (SMEs) from the agricultural, industrial, food and metalworking sectors, among others, will take part in the meeting.
