Costa Rica: Frequencies for Microwave Links
Regulatory agency, SUTEL, presented the first of three corrections required by the Comptroller General in the mobile telephony bidding process.
Tuesday, October 26, 2010
The frequencies inventory for microwave links is now available to interested parties starting today (Tuesday 26 October), according to Sutel.
The Telecommunications Superintendence (Sutel) will host an informative meeting with companies interested in obtaining a frequency for mobile telephony services.
The process to publish the bidding rules for auctioning several frequencies of the radio spectrum to mobile phone operators is on hold since February.
A three month delay in the market opening process will prevent the entrance of competitors expected for mid 2010.
By not presenting the changes to the terms and conditions, Sutel has further delayed the process.
