In September the consumer price index recorded a monthly variation of -0.47%, putting inter annual inflation at 0.39%, and inflation accumulated so far this year at 0.49%.

In September 2016, of the 315 goods and services included in the consumer basket 40% fell in price, 48% increased in price and 12% had no change.

When analyzing the percentage changes of the twelve groups that comprise the index, it can be seen that the group Food and non-alcoholic drinks had the greatest effect on the change of the overall index.

In the last five years (2012 to 2016) the only negative cumulative percentage change from January to September was in 2015 with -0.70%.

In September, the consumer price index varied by 0.25%, mainly explained by transportation and health prices.

The most important results up to September are the monthly variation of 0.25%, accumulated inflation from January to September of 1.37% and annual inflation of 1.64%. 

Honduras: Year on Year Inflation in April 2017 is 4,10%

May 2017

In April the consumer price index registered a variation of 0.37% with respect to March, and a cumulative variation so far in the year of 2.03%.

From the monthly report by the Central Bank of Honduras:

The Consumer Price Index recorded a monthly growth of 0.37% in April 2017, mainly due to an increase in residential electricity rates and the price of some housing maintenance services, therefore, year-on-year inflation was 4.10% and accumulated inflaction 2.03% (2.44% and 1.26% at April 2016, respectively). [GRAFICA caption = "Click to interact with graphics"]

In October, the consumer price index recorded a monthly variation of -0.12%, putting annual inflation at 0.55%, and inflation accumulated so far this year at 0.37%.

Honduras: Year On Year Inflation up to October Rises to 6.31%

November 2014

In October, the variation of the consumer price index was 0.29%, and Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages and Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels were the two categories that increased the most.

In October 2014, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) recorded a monthly rise of 0.29%; meanwhile, the annual inflation rate was 6.31% and the cumulative rate 5.71% .
