Nine companies from the sector are participating in the mission, which spans from Tuesday 4 to Thursday 6. During the Los Angeles visit, organized by the Export Promotion Agency of Costa Rica (Procomer), these companies will meet with three large supermarket chains and fresh products buyers.
Costa Rica is sending a trade mission to Europe from July 12 to 18. Companies of all sizes are among the 21 represented on the mission.
The promotion of Nicaraguan firms in international markets during 2011 has already borne fruit in closed deals for $20 million.
The Foreign Trade Office is located in the capital city and will arrange appointments with buyers, and negotiate arrangements and price studies.
The new site will operate in Madrid on the same premises currently occupied by the Embassy of Costa Rica in the European country.
