According to Lanacion.com, Gabriela Llobet, said: "Costa Rica has great opportunity to become the hub of European companies in order for them to service and supply their customers in America from our country."

Largest Regional Event For Investment Promotion Begins

At the opening of the Guatemala Investment Summit the country was presented to 259 entrepreneurs from 26 countries as an attractive investment destination.

In addition, another 1,000 people attended the event which organizers say is the largest activity for attracting investment which has been held so far in Central America.

Costa Rica After Indian investments

Representatives from the government and private enterprise are looking to India for business opportunities and attracting investment.

From a press release from the Costa Rican Ministry of Foreign Trade (Comex):

A delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Trade, Anabel Gonzalez, will visit India next week, along with representatives from the Foreign Trade Promoter (PROCOMER) and the Coalition of Development Initiatives (CINDE). An intensive agenda of meetings with government officials and entrepreneurs will take place in three major cities of the country (New Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore) and the main objectives are to seek to promote the opening of communication channels, attracting investment and promoting exports.
