Consumer Price Index, July 2006 based on
January 2014

The National Institute of Statistics and Census reports the main results of the Consumer Price Index for January 2014.

The general level of consumer price index in January was about 163,664, which represents a change of 0.75% compared with the index for the month of December (with a value of 162.447).

The cumulative variation from February 2013 to January 2014 of the Index was 3.10% lower than the variation in the same period last year (5.74%).

In September, the consumer price index varied by 0.25%, mainly explained by transportation and health prices.

The most important results up to September are the monthly variation of 0.25%, accumulated inflation from January to September of 1.37% and annual inflation of 1.64%. 

Guatemala: Annual Inflation Reaches 3.64%

In October, the consumer price index recorded a rise of 0.15%, putting the cumulative inflation from January to October at 2.86%.

From report by the National Statistical Institute of Guatemala:

The Consumer Price Index for October 2014 stood at 117.96, posting a monthly change of 0.15%, and compared with October last year the variation was 3.64%.

Slight Decrease in Inflation Rate

In Costa Rica the cumulative change in the period April 2011 to March 2012 in the General Index of Consumer Prices is 4.21% less than the variation in the same period last year (4.58%).
