From the statement of the Association of Producers and Exporters of Nicaragua:

October 15th, 2018. Given the presentation and next discussion in the National Assembly of the Initiative of the Creative Law of the Nicaraguan Company of Imports and Exports (ENIMEX), we consider that, as was presented, is subject to any interpretation that mainly generates uncertainty, therefore, affects investment and employment, since it is not clear the reason for its existence beyond the vague statement of the motive with which we could partially agree.

This law initiative has generated much concern among producers and exporters of various types, since it seems like a return to the 80s when the government had a monopoly on imports and exports, with the consequent negative results in the economy.

Arguing that the law of creation of the Nicaraguan Company of Imports and Exports attempts against free market, the business sector demands to abolish the proposal.

The Superior Council of Private Enterprise (Cosep) strongly opposes the approval of the Law that aims to create the Nicaraguan Company of Imports and Exports (Enimex), which would allow the State to conduct commercial transactions.
