Builders Project Investments for $1.4 billion

The Salvadoran union for the sector foresees that investments in construction between 2018 and 2019 will add up to $1.4 billion, driven mainly by the execution of several public projects.

The Salvadoran Chamber of the Construction Industry (Casalco) reported that with the investment estimated for this and next year, it is expected that about 136 thousand jobs will be created.

Regarding investments in public infrastructure, the president of the Casalco, Ángel Díaz, told Laprensagrafica.com that they have "...' high expectations that this year the Government, through its institutions, will efficiently execute the approximately $640 million they have earmarked for public infrastructure under construction.'"

FOMILENIO will also execute the extension of the highway that connects the airport with Zacatecoluca."
