On August 21, the Ministry of Health, through the Department of Health in Chiquimula, decided to award the contract for the work "Contract for the Emergency Medical Center Project in Esquipulas" to the company Arcos Proyecciones S.A., which presented an offer of $10.8 million, according to information on the purchasing website Guatecompras.gt.

In addition to the contractor, which bid the equivalent Q84.680.250, the firm Abantia- Cocisa also participated in the tender with a bid equal to Q81.674.699.
