$8 Million for Construction of Industrial Plant

In Guatemala, a textile company with 53,000 m2 under construction is planned to be built.

"In Escuintla, construction will begin on a 53,450 square meter textile industry building.

The project consists of cotton spinning production and the combination with other materials without dyeing process, to cover the high demand of this product for other industries that weave and produce ready-made and printed products. The plant will have three construction phases.

There will be different areas in the industrial plant.

* Spinning mills 4,104 m2
* Spinning or continuous 8,208 m2
* Spinnerets 2,736 m2

* Final product warehouse 1,710 m2
* Laboratory 72 m2
* Spare parts warehouse 144 m2
* Warehouse for consumables (thinner, alcohol, oil, etc.) 360 m2
* Loading and unloading parking 7,980 m2
* Visitor and employee parking 1,500 m2
* Offices and administrative services 432 m2
* Water pump area 100 m2
* Pneumatic equipment area 360 m2
* Bathroom and dressing area for employees 596 m2
* Employee dining room 380 m2
* Temporary waste storage area 360 m2

In Guatemala, Cemex S.A. plans to invest close to $16 million in the expansion of its production plant located in the municipality of Puerto de San José, department of Escuintla.

Logistics Center: $13 Million in Investment Expected

The Walmart supermarket chain plans to expand and remodel its distribution center located in the municipality of Villa Nueva, department of Guatemala.
