The Surtidora de Alta Tecnología (SAT) is the creator of the first Guatemalan tablet, the CybeTech CT Pad 8003, which is assembled in China, and which has established itself as a favorite in the local market for its price and quality, reported Siglo21.com.gt.

The company also offers the Elite 701 Tablet priced at Q899.95 ($114.94) and the CT7003 Tablet at Q1, 900 ($242.64), whose financing is promoted by Banrural, with very modest fees.
Cybertech will launch three more tablets with new designs and developments. One is the CT1001 Tablet, which goes on sale in the next 15 days. "These will be assembled with a device called A10, which includes HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface). This allows you to connect to a projector. Another is the A13 processor, high performance and has no HNMI. These products are very cheap and are three times as efficient as other known products", said Juan Carlos Diaz, business manager of the firm.

Diaz revealed that in Guatemala about 2,500 tablets are sold each month, but the projection is to sell 5,000 units. He notes that the tablet market is growing and one of the sectors that will help it grow the most is education, with four publishers negotiating over digital book applications.
